This site contains links to concise chronological information pertaining to: 1) the history of American social policy issues from the Revolutionary War to the present; and 2) the history of how American social policy has dealt with the unique needs of specific populations-at-risk. Upon clicking a link, a user will find the most influential Acts of Congress, Supreme Court cases, major social events, and establishment of organizations in each area of interest. These histories connect social events to social policies, so the user can see not only the developmental policy history of each issue or population-at-risk, but also the social influences that were catalytic forces in the evolution of those policies.
