Activity Description

Go the website and search for articles on revenue management by date order.  This will reveal a very long list of articles on a variety of topics, such as pricing, forecasting, maximising RevPar, data mining, and market segmentation.  These will be in a variety of forms such as articles, case studies and blogs.
Select any three articles and consider the following questions:

  • Revenue management focuses on ‘demand management’.  In what ways does the author propose managing demand?
  • The authors often identify problems or challenges industry practitioners face.  What examples of this can you find in your selected articles?
