Critical Path Method
Overview
This activity will enable you to do a network diagram for a project, identify the critical path and establish any slack time..
Activity Description
The weblink takes you to a video demonstrating how to identify the critical path on a network diagram. Use this tutorials to complete Figure 3 below. Figure 1 shows you the details of the activity, and Figure 2 shows the precedence diagram. In the first instance, do a ‘forward pass’ on Figure 3 in order to establish how long the project will take. Then do a ‘backward pass’ in order to identify any slack time in the project.
