Movies from real research: Formation of the Dpp gradient
The FRAP recovery curve. Relative fluorescence of Dpp-GFP in the ROI plotted as a function of time. Relative fluorescence intensity (RF) is the result of normalizing to the value before bleaching at t=0 min (RF=1) and of subtracting the fluorescence remaining immediately after bleaching (at t=1 min; RF=0).
In the posterior compartment of the disc (to the right of the Dpp source which itself is in the center) a rectangular ROI has been bleached (red rectangle). The recovery of fluorescence has been monitored for the time (in minutes) indicated in the top left corner. Movie courtesy Marcos Gonzalez Gaitan.
