1. The concept map suggests that there may have been a connection between ancient India’s rich and varied intellectual, religious, and cultural traditions and its political disunity.  Do you agree that there was a connection? If so, why would this connection have existed? If you do not agree, then what factors better explain why India’s political disunity proved elusive during this period? 

2. Think of other places that have experienced political instability. Did these places also achieve cultural, intellectual, and religious accomplishments during periods of political instability?
