Use the Legislative Explorer to watch bills move through the legislative process during a given Congress. First, select the current or most recently completed congressional session and hit play. What trends emerge? How many bills actually made it to becoming laws? Repeat this activity again for the earliest Congress the Legislative Explorer will allow and note any differences. Keep these differences in mind as you proceed through our book and consider what might be driving these changes over time.
