Values of RT at various temperatures and the Ψ_s values of solutions of different solute concentrations are presented below in Web Table 3.4.A. For ionic solutes that dissociate into two or more particles, c_s must be multiplied by the number of dissociated particles to account for the increased number of dissolved particles. This does not apply to H⁺ or OH^– ions released by dissociation of an acid or base, because these ions contribute to the solvent rather than diluting it.
