Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020

In July 2020 a new Divorce Act was given royal assent.

Sections 1 to 5 make major changes to the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 and to the Civil Partnership Act 2004, replacing the provisions of those Acts that govern divorce, dissolution and judicial separation.
