- Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Hearing from January and March 2020, where a newly solicitor was struck off and ordered to pay £10k costs for dishonesty after lying about leaving a briefcase containing sensitive documents on a train. She was found to be in breach of the Code of Conduct 2011 (now superseded by the Codes of Conduct). Dishonesty, integrity and lack of public trust are all discussed, and will be useful to inform your understanding of the new Codes.

- However the SRA decided not to punish her firm for a delay in report her misconduct. This article also illustrates the issue of conflict of interest, as her firm as often instructed by the SRA. (Remember the new codes separate the obligations of the firm from the obligations of the solicitor.)
