- Describe how our ideas about offender rehabilitation have changed over time
- Explain the importance of inmate classification for corrections
- Describe the eight special needs populations and why many of these prisoners requires additional resources and supports
- Explain why the profile of inmates influences institutional conduct
- State why prisoner advocacy is important
- Describe the different forms of prison releases to the community
- Describe some of the barriers to community reentry for ex-prisoners
- Describe why CoSA is effective.
- State why parole is not soft on prisoners.
