About the speaker:

Art Markman is the Annabel Irion Worsham Centennial Professor of Psychology and Marketing at the University of Texas at Austin. He has written over 125 scholarly papers on topics ranging from analogical reasoning to decision making to motivation. He is also the executive editor of the journal Cognitive Science. Art blogs regularly for Psychology Today, Huffington Post, and Harvard Business Review. His latest book, Smart Thinking (Perigee) brings cognitive science to a broad audience to help people think more effectively.
