An illustration depicts the life cycle of the synaptic vesicle. The flow is as follows. The undocked synaptic vesicle is filled with the neurotransmitters comprising a cluster of proteins. The next stage is the Exocytosis in which the docking and priming occurs where the cluster of proteins in the presynaptic membrane is noted. In the next stage, the fusion of docked and primed vesicle occurs, where the calcium enters the presynaptic membrane and fuses with the axon terminal membrane. In the next stage, the molecules of neurotransmitter begin to leave the synaptic vesicle. The final stage is Endocytosis where the cellular substances buds inside a cell forming a vesicle containing the ingested material.
