When the axon of second neuron gets in contact with the soma of first neuron, the transmission of neurotransmitters to the postsynaptic receptor occurs and the signal emitted from the terminal auto receptor in the presynaptic cell is indicated with a negative sign. In the soma region of the second neuron, the soma dendritic auto receptor receives the neurotransmitter which is indicated by a negative sign.
