In the news: the Ocado-Morrisons deal and conflict in the UK supermarket industry

In May 2013, conflict emerged in the UK supermarket industry as Ocado, the online supermarket, signed a deal with Morrisons, enraging its long-term partner Waitrose. The deal stated that Morrisons would use Ocado’s technology and distribution network to facilitate online deliveries.
