The first SDG is to ‘end poverty in all its forms everywhere’.

1. Define poverty.
2. How has world poverty changed in the last 40 years?
3. How have many escaped extreme poverty over this period?
4. Have MNCs contributed positively or negatively to these changes?
5. Put forward an argument for MNCs taking positive actions to relieve world poverty.
6. How likely is it that this goal will be achieved?  Explain your answer.
