The Edinburgh Study of Youth Transitions and Crime

(ESYTC) is a major study of adolescent development and offending. The ESYTC is a longitudinal study of criminal offending and anti-social behaviour among young people. It follows a group of 4,300 young people who started secondary schools in 1998. It will follow them until they are aged 30. The site is updated regularly with the latest findings from the study.
