I foster coordination, collaboration, and integration of collection and reporting of federal data on child and family issues and conditions. I develop priorities for collecting enhanced data on children and youth and improve the reporting and dissemination of information on the status of children to the policy community and the general public.

I provide national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and victimization. I support states and communities in developing and implementing effective and coordinated prevention and intervention programs and improving the juvenile justice system so that it protects public safety, holds offenders accountable, and provides treatment and rehabilitative services tailored to the needs of juveniles and their families.

I am a Health and Human Services agency that funds state, territory, local, and tribal organizations to provide family assistance, child support, child care, Head Start, child welfare, and other programs relating to children and families.
