http://www.csicop.org/

Website for the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry (CSI) and its journal, the Skeptical Inquirer. Online articles from the magazine, a newsletter, and an annotated bibliography are all useful elements of this site.

http://www.skeptic.com/

Website for the Skeptic Society and Skeptic magazine.

http://skepdic.com/

Voluminous dictionary of terms, concepts, and claims defined and explained with a skeptical perspective, from acupuncture to zombies. Includes many of the claims discussed in this book.

http://www.badarchaeology.net

Produced by self-avowed “angry archaeologists” Keith Fitzpatrick-Matthews and James Doeser. This website presents unapologetically strong refutations of, well, bad archaeology. Lots of fun, the site focuses on bad archaeology in Europe.

http://www.andytheargumentativearchaeologist.com

Andy White is an archaeologist and a researching badass. He’s done an amazing job of critically investigating claims about the archaeology of giants as well as what he labels “swordgate,” the claim that an authentic, ancient Roman sword was found in Nova Scotia. His website is great and growing.

http://www.jasoncolavito.com

Jason Colavito is a polymath (look it up), an incredible, multilingual scholar and media critic with what verges on an encyclopedic knowledge of ancient history. If you have ever considered even the remote possibility that the cable series Ancient Aliens or America Unearthed might occasionally get it right, read Jason’s blog. It makes me almost feel sorry for Giorgio Tsoukalos (Ancient Aliens) and Scott Wolter (America Unearthed). Almost.
