Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education
- The OIA website (www.oiahe.org.uk) has a complaints wizard which explains that the OIA (like the courts in judicial review) cannot deal with a complaint if it relates to a matter of academic judgment.
Code for Crown Prosecutors
- The Crown Prosecution website (www.cps.gov.uk) contains a link to the Code for Crown Prosecutors, which gives guidance on the (very vague) general principles for deciding when to prosecute.
Chapter 10: How to sue the government
- The Administrative Court website gives an overview of the jurisdiction of the Administrative Court
Reports
Law Commission, 'Remedies in Administrative Law' (Cmnd 6407, 1976)
- The report that led to the changes in Order 53 to the judicial review procedure, creating a single simpler 'application for judicial review' (in place of diverse forms of application for different prerogative remedies), allowing declarations and injunctions to be given in the same proceedings, and creating a single requirement of a 'sufficient interest' for standing.
