Chapter 16: International Relations and Comparative Politics
Examine a major event in international relations from the last 25 years. This could include any of a number of events of your choosing, such as: military conflict between countries; a major peace treaty; an economic accord or agreement; a process of political integration; an act of terror; etc. Develop two different arguments for why this event occurred, one of which features the domestic politics of at least one country was a major cause and one of which holds that domestic politics was not a major cause. Which of these two arguments is most compelling and why?
