Chapter 1: Introduction to Comparative Politics

a) Take a look at the list of “Why Questions” on page 5 of the text. Open a browser and go to Google Scholar: https://scholar.google.com/ . Type in one of the questions and see what articles come up. Look through a couple of the articles and make a list of reasons that each scholar gives that answers the question. Provide the citations for the articles chosen.

b) Choosing one of the reasons given, what variables can be used to “measure” it?  Check with your professor to see if you did it correctly.
