Chapter 5 Learning Objectives

  1. Students will gain an understanding of the pressures that caused the conflict between the Wendat Confederacy and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.
  2. We will see alternative views about the motivations for trade across the region and with the European colonizers.
  3. Students will gain insight into the developing fur trade routes over the course of the seventeenth century.
