1. Between 2017-2019, Ontario launched a guaranteed annual income pilot project in three cities: Hamilton, Lindsay and Thunder Bay. This pilot project provided a basic annual income of $17 000 for single persons and $24 000 for a family. About 4 000 people participated in the study. The project was halted quickly upon the election of the Ford government in Ontario. Research the results of the program. Was the basic income program a success or failure? Why?
