- Were you surprised by any of the statistics regarding the size of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) in terms of employees (260 000), budget ($4 billion) and/or purchases ($16 billion)?
- The mission of PSPC is “to deliver high-quality programs and services”. In what ways does PSPC impact your life? What are your experiences with the federal public service? Did the PSPC live up to its mission statement?
- Given the increased complexity and specialization in modern life and the numerous and varied criteria to be considered when constructing a cabinet, is a minister truly in control of a department of government or is a minister largely at the mercy of departmental experts?

- Think of something that bothers you. Find out who is responsible for the issue: remember the division of powers outlined in S.91 and S.92 of the Constitution Act, 1982. Come up with a resolution to the problem and an action plan to implement the resolution.
