  • Know the given definitions of veracity, privacy, confidentiality, and fidelity.
  • Explain the ethical justifications behind each of these ethical obligations in health care (veracity, privacy, confidentiality, fidelity).
  • Be able to give examples of instances in which each of these obligations comes into play in a health care setting.
  • Recognize and be able to explain the differences and overlaps between clinical research and clinical medicine.
  • Be able to list and explain the justifying conditions for randomized clinical trials and recognize the ethical concerns behind these conditions.
