The IRE website offers tipsheets on a wide range of reporting topics, such as using state public records and public meetings laws, interviewing techniques, using real estate records, developing sources and using computer databases. The IRE also has an extensive compilation of investigative stories. The stories can serve a guides for helping a reporter develop a similar story. The organization also conducts workshops and training sessions for reporters and editors, and these are announced on the website.
