DEFRA: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/department-for-environment-food-rural-affairs
The DEFRA links page gives access to a number of good sources of information on air pollutants, their sources and relevant legislation. The link given is to the main access point but there are further links to climate change and air quality pages which, respectively, contain:

The UK’s Climate Change Programme: http://www.defra.gov.uk/environment/climate/
and The National Air Quality Archive http://uk-air.defra.gov.uk/
This provides air quality statistics and 24 hour forecasts and the National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (http://naei.defra.gov.uk/) which provides aggregated data on emissions from various sources including cars, power stations and industrial plant.

Environmental Protection UK: www.environmental-protection.org.uk
Has a range of links and materials in relation to air quality.

ClientEarth: http://www.clientearth.org/health-environment/clean-air/
NGO active in campaigning on (amongst other things) air pollution

European Commission: http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/clima/mission/index_en.htm and http://ec.europa.eu/environment/air/index_en.htm
General information on European policy initiatives on air quality, pollution and climate change can be accessed via the links here. The former contains links to the annual reports on the EU’s progress towards meeting its Kyoto targets, and is where developments in relation to the Commission’s proposals on things like renewables targets and effort-sharing can be tracked.

European Pollutant Emissions Register: http://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/data/eper-the-european-pollutant-emission-register-4

UN Climate Change Convention: www.unfccc.int
The best site for up-to-date information on the international aspects of climate change is the official United Nations site, which has the full text of the Treaty and Kyoto Protocol, information on ratification and resources on the progress made post ratification through the various meetings, Conferences of the Parties (CoPs), National Reports and other technical information.

Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change: www.ipcc.ch
Has a good selection of resources.

UN Development Programme: http://www.unep.org/climatechange/
A third potential source of information on climate change.

Climate Justice: http://www.climatelaw.org/
Campaigners and lawyers working on international and domestic climate justice issues and litigation.

Columbia Law School: http://web.law.columbia.edu/climate-change
Columbia Law School maintains a very good website on climate law developments

EcoEquity: www.ecoequity.org
A useful link to campaigning sites.
