Go to the website for The Linde Group (a world leading gases and engineering company) at: http://www.linde.com/en/index.html

Look at the 'Corporate history' section of the website in particular and any other relevant section.

Write a business report of 4000 words on The Linde Group covering the following:

  • A brief history of the company
  • A current analysis of the company including an analysis of its board composition; company strategy; marketing, manufacturing, financial, human resources capabilities; and its corporate responsibility stance
  • Its SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats)
  • Based on the above a summary of recommendations for its future direction and strategy

An approach to the above brief is as follows:
  1. Read Chapter 7 of Bell, Bryman, and Harley carefully.
  1. Then, using Elsesser and Lever's (2011) and Clarke et al's (2012) articles referred to in the text as a useful aid, write a report covering the above brief.
