Introduction
Apparent motion is a visual illusion in which two distinct stimuli presented at slightly different times appear to be a single stimuli moving through space. In this lab you will complete a series of three experiments, where you will learn about several variables that are important to creating apparent motion.
Look around you. Note that anywhere you see on edge of an objext, there is usually a change in the light level. Centre-surround cells respond the most in areas in the visual field where there is contract and a sharp difference in the amount of light.
