Instructions

In this experiment, you will be presented with a picture, and then you solve a series of math problems.

  1. At the beginning of each trial you will see a fixation ‘+’ which you should focus on. When you are ready to begin a trial, press the space bar.
  2. On each trial you will be presented with a picture that you will have thirty seconds to study. After the picture disappears, you will be given a series of math problems to complete. If the math problem is correct, press the ‘D’ key. If the math problem is incorrect, press the ‘K’ key. Try to be quick but accurate; you will have to repeat the trial if you do not respond correctly.
  3. When you have completed the math problems, you will be shown a list of items. Your task is to click on all the items that were visible in the picture you were just shown. When you have finished responding, you will begin your next trial.

You will complete six experimental trials. At the end, your responses will be shown. Press "Next" to begin.
