Instructions

In the present experiment, we will attempt to demonstrate the von Restorff effect using your own data.

1. At the start of each trial, you will see a button labelled ‘Press the space bar to begin’ and a fixation cross. Direct your gaze at the fixation cross, and, when you are ready, press the space bar.
2. You will be shown a series of items. Once they have been presented, you will be asked to recall the items in any order you wish by clicking on corresponding buttons on the screen. For each trial, do your best to remember all the items.

You will complete 10 practice trials and 40 experimental trials, at the end your results will be shown. Press "Next" to begin.
