Note on the SRA Code of Conduct 2011

Conveyancing and the SRA Code of Conduct 2011 ('the Code')

The Code sets out outcomes-focused conduct requirements so that solicitors can consider how best to achieve the right outcomes for their clients taking into account the way that the firm works and its client base.

The Code forms part of the SRA Handbook, in which ten mandatory principles are all-pervasive, applying to all aspects of practice. Please note: in November 2019, the SRA Handbook will be replaced with the new SRA Standards and Regulations.
